Welcome to Glenhaven's Website
Welcome to the website of the Glenhaven Condominium Corporation. Glenhaven is a multi-unit bare land condominium located in the foothills town of Cochrane, Alberta. The condominium is contained within an 18-acre site.
There are 68 dwelling units developed within a sheltered coulee located above the town, which provides spectacular views of the Glen Eagles Golf course, the Bow River valley and the Rocky Mountains. The community offers condominium services, including lawn care with irrigation in the summer and snow removal in the winter. The development is low-density (+/-3.5 units per acre).
We are located 40 minutes away from downtown Calgary with easy access to the Calgary International Airport. In less than an hour residents can travel via the Trans-Canada Highway to the Rocky Mountain National Parks, home of the U.N. World heritage Town of Banff, as well as several world class ski areas including Lake Louise, Norquay and Sunshine. We are even closer to Kananaskis Country, one of Alberta's more spectacular mountain parks.
Scenic Highway #22 runs through the Town of Cochrane south through the Waldron Valley and the magnificent Whaleback Hills to the Crow's Nest Pass and north through numerous small foothill towns to central Alberta.
Cochrane, which has a population of 12000, is a growing community, which provides a variety of schools as well as retail and commercial services and facilities for most everyday needs. As well, Cochrane provides unparalleled recreational opportunities including a new recreation complex and a developing municipal pathway system offering spectacular views.
The condominium is governed and managed by a volunteer board of resident directors. As required by Alberta law, the corporation has conducted a sinking fund study and the resulting recommended sinking fund is fully funded on an annual basis. The corporation is responsible to maintain the managed property, which generally includes the building exteriors and structure, common property, roads and some portions of utilities that are not the responsibility of the Town of Cochrane. Architectural controls regulate external appearance.
